Present RCCM Ministries:

  • Supporting local churches

Two missionary families from Lewiston, Idaho, came to Japan and supported IBF (International Bible Fellowship) ministries in various ways. Among their wide-ranging activities were preaching, leading or assisting in worship services, holding Bible studies in homes, teaching Sunday School, and organizing concerts and English conversation class events (e.g. for Christmas). In addition, every summer, about 10 short-term missionaries are dispatched from Lewiston to visit churches and carry out evangelistic activities in Nagareyama, Tokyo, Yokohama, and other areas.

  • Teaching English classes

There are more than 6 classes that meet at IBF church, each for a different English level. A Bible study conducted in English also meets at IBF. RCCM missionaries have also volunteered as teachers at elementary schools in Minami-Nagareyama, teaching 1st to 6th graders.

  • Conducting wedding ceremonies

We share the good news of Christ through weddings. We have sent missionaries as wedding ministers to hotels and wedding.

  • Following up with foreign students from Japan

About 10 Japanese students study abroad yearly at Lewis Clark State College, Idaho. Many have been invited to and attend churches to enjoy cross-cultural exchanges. We follow up with these students, and when they return to Japan, we introduce them to various local churches.

  • Providing continuing theological education

Many missionaries are now taking lifelong correspondence courses through Steve Breithaupt, who lived and worked in Japan for over 15 years as a missionary. Pastor Steve shares about the heart and spirit of a missionary and about church history, ministry, and theology.
