But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

↓Audio link to the full sermon Today’s message is from Mark 10:31, “But many who are first will be last, and the last first.” It is a passage where the truth is revealed, that those who seek to enter heaven by deeds are left behind, and those who long for heaven by faith and grace come first. Jesus has used these expressions elsewhere. If you are interested, please check Matthew 20:16 and Luke 13:30. This message follows on from the previous message, in which the rich man who seeks heaven for his deeds is left behind, but rather those who believe in Jesus with a heart like children come first.

All things are possible with God.

↓Audio link to the full sermon Today’s message is from Mark10:27, “all things are possible with God.” The message is hidden here that we cannot save ourselves, but only God can save us. In Mark 10:45 Jesus says “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Ransom means the cost you pay to free slaves. It is revealed that Jesus pays the ransom for the Atonement, so that the whole humanity who are salves of the sin will be set free, and to make them belong to God, that is what Jesus did

So they are no longer two, but one flesh.

↓Audio link to the full sermon Today’s message is from Mark 10:8, “ So they are no longer two, but one flesh.” These are the words spoken by Jesus about marriage. Please read Mark 10: 1-12. Last week’s message was from “Have salt among yourselves,” but here Jesus added that we should live in harmony with each other. The emphasis was on keeping a balance between having salt and living in harmony. That also applies to marriage that we need the same balance within the married couple. First, let’s look at the context of this verse. In verse two, “Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful

Have salt among yourselves

↓Audio link to the full sermon Today’s message is from Mark 9:50, “Have salt among yourselves,” These words give awareness to Christians living in this world. Salt has been used as an antiseptic for a long time, and even if it loses its original shape, its existence is recognized. Before going into this theme, we would like to briefly learn three points from Jesus ‘ message this time. Please read Mark 9: 38-50. First of all, I would like to focus on the cooperation of the Church and the expansion of its work from the words spoken by Jesus. In verse thirty-eight, John says, “Teacher, we saw someone driving out

The Son of Man will be resurrected after three days

↓Audio link to the full sermon Today’s message is from Mark 9:31, “The Son of Man will be resurrected after three days” We will take a look at the words of Jesus, which cannot be understood by human common sense. Please read Mark 9: 30-37. Jesus has repeatedly used the expression “the Son of Man” referring himself as the Messiah. Jesus said, the Messiah will be killed and resurrected three days later. This was the second time He mentioned about this to his disciples. The first one is written in Mark 8:31, and the third one in Mark 10:33-34. Each time the disciples were confused, they couldn’t understand what Jesus

Everything is possible for one who believes.

↓Audio link to the full sermon Today’s message is from Mark 9:23, 「“ Everything is possible for one who believes.” I believe this word gives a great encouragement to us, the believers. Let’s look at the background of this passage. First, please read Mark 9:14-29. There was a father whose son was possessed by an impure spirit. The disciples of Jesus tried to drive out the spirit from him, but they couldn’t. Then Jesus asked the father how long his son has been like this, and he answered in verse22, “From childhood. It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take

This is my Son whom I love.  Listen to him

↓Audio link to the full sermon Today’s message is from Mark 9:7 “This is my Son whom I love.  Listen to him” This is the word spoken by God when Jesus took Peter, James and John to the mountain top and was transfigured in front of them.  Let’s look at Mark 9:1-8.  It is written that Jesus’ cloth became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.  Three disciples saw Jesus with shining glory.  Also, scripture describes that Elijah and Moses who are the one of the greatest God’s servants in old testament were speaking with Jesus.  When Peter saw three of them talking, he said “it
